Who Is Jesse Conrad?

An empathetic literary critic

My problem as a literary critic is that I am hung up on the intentional fallacy. Disregarding authorial intent is well and goodnecessary, evenfor the best thinking about writing as an object of study. But your work is not an object of study yet, and until it is, authorial intent reigns supreme. We will talk a lot about what you want your writing to be and do.

A punk rocker

The value of toppling hierarchies and overturning systems of oppression worked its way into my ethos when I was just a kid. My musical tastes have evolved since then, but I still admire thinkers and artists who upset staid and stultifying norms.

A record collector

In my spare time, I am essentially a librarian. I am a Discogs.com database contributor ranked 1,017 with 3,902 titles and 8,572 images submitted. My own collection of more than 8,000 vinyl records comprises funk, soul, disco, jazz, industrial, punk, post-punk, synthpop, new wave, and much more. Painstaking attention to detail appeals to me, and I bring it to your work as well.

A lapsed Mennonite

I grew up in a tight-knit Anabaptist community that emphasizes service and selflessness. When there is work to be done, one helps; there is no other option. I bring the same work ethic to your project, and I will put forth extra effort to ensure its success.

Your selfless ally, collaborator, and sounding board

Harness the power of another mind and put it to work on your prose—then take all the credit. Thats why Im here, and being helpful makes me happy. Take my work and make it your own.
